Basic programme

We suggest that you visit ballet performance offered by one of Moscow’s and Russia’s most known cultural attractions — Stanislavskiy and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theater: Choreographic Masterpieces of XX Century.

The performance starts at 19-00 and includes three one-act ballets:

  • Na Floresta (choreography: Nacho Duato, music: A. Villa-Lobos)
  • Illusive Ball (choreography: Dmitry Bryantsev, music: Frederic Chopin)
  • Margarita and Armand (choreography: Frederic Ashton, music: Franz Liszt)


The theater is located in the central part of Moscow, 5 minutes walk from the venue of the Seminar and Underground Station «Okhotny Ryad». Address: 17, Bolshaya Dmitrovka Str.

During and after the seminar reception you are invited to the exhibition «Gold: The Metal of Gods and the God of Metals» from the collection of the State Historical Museum. Experienced guides will help you to appreciate this unique exposition.

The exhibition presents outstanding historical and cultural memorials of two last millenniums, which are made of gold or with its application.

The first part of the exhibition acquaints the visitors with the «metal of gods»: samples of orthodox public liturgy — icons and books in golden frameworks, various church utensils, mitres and nuptial crowns luxuriously decorated by precious stones, as well as unique memorials of XI-XIX centuries from other Christian confessions, and also Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Chinese religious beliefs.

The second part of the exhibition introduces «metal of gods and symbol of power» related to the events of Russian and world culture and history in XVII-XX centuries and outstanding historical personalities.

The tour includes Red Square, the Kremlin, Saint Basil’s Cathedral, Christ the Savior Cathedral, New Maiden’s Convent, Sparrow Hills with the famous Moscow State Lomonossov University, Poklonnaya Hill (Victory Park), Kutuzovsky Prospect, New Arbat, Manezhnaya, Teatralnaya and Pushkinskaya squares and many other attractions.

The excursion starts at 10-00 a.m. and lasts 4 hours.

All basic program events are free of charge for the seminar’s registered participants.
